Margarita Mossburg Dies in Bloomfield Crash
BLOOMFIELD, NM (August 17, 2020) – Police identified Margarita Mossburg as the victim who died in a multi-car crash in the 1001 block of East Broadway Boulevard on Monday evening.
According to the New Mexico State Police, the collision happened near Dollar General at approximately 8:00 PM.
Based on a report, the 54-year-old Farmington woman was driving a 1990 Honda Civic at the time of the crash. The commotion happened after a 2008 Dodge van left the Dollar General parking lot and made a turn across the eastbound lanes of Broadway to head west on the road.
While crossing the eastbound lane, a 2003 GMC SUV headed east struck it. Subsequently, the victim’s Honda struck the GMC when it went into the westbound lane.
State Police pronounced Mossburg dead at the scene. In addition, medics sent the other two drivers to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
State Police said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. However, they continue to investigate the case.
