Cory McClanahan Dies in Crash with RV on 215 Freeway [Riverside, CA]
Cory McClanahan Killed in Collision With Motorhome on 215 Freeway Near University Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (August 7, 2020)—A collision between a sedan and a motorhome on the 215 Freeway near University Avenue Wednesday night claimed a man’s life.
According to a news release, the victim has been identified as Cory McClanahan of Riverside.
Around 11:30 p.m., his dark blue 2015 Nissan Altima, which had been traveling in the No. 3 southbound lane, slammed into the rear of the motorhome.
Due to his high speed of travel, the impact wedged McClanahan’s sedan underneath the 1979 Swinger RV.
Fortunately, the RV occupants escaped injury; however, McClanahan had passed away at the scene.
Investigators subsequently closed the area to survey the scene for evidence. Thus far, they remain open to witnesses’ help in identifying what else could have driven the collision.
However, if anyone would like to help investigators examine this crash, please contact authorities.
Our thoughts and sincere sympathies are with the bereaved family and friends of Cory McClanahan.
