Woman Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Grand Avenue [San Diego, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Vehicle on Grand Avenue in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 3, 2020) – A woman suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Grand Avenue on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened just west of Mission Bay Drive at approximately 10:40 PM.
Based on a report, the 41-year-old woman was attempting to cross the street at the time of the accident. Due to an unknown reason, a 2018 Jeep Cherokee SUV struck her.
Emergency crews brought the victim to a hospital for treatment. As a result, San Diego Police said the victim sustained a pelvic fracture and other serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The 24-year-old woman who was driving a 2018 Jeep Cherokee SUV stayed at the scene.
