Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash on 880 Freeway [San Jose, CA]
Motorcycle Collides with Semi-Truck in Fatal Accident on 880 Freeway at Highway 101 in San Jose, CA
SAN JOSE, CA (August 2, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a motorcycle crash on 880 Freeway southbound on Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at Highway 101 shortly before 6:00 PM.
Based on a report, the 47-year-old man’s motorcycle collided with a semi-truck pulling a trailer. However, officials did not yet release the details that led to the accident.
As a result, emergency crews took the rider to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where he later died. The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office did not release his name pending notification of next of kin. In addition, the truck driver did not sustain any injury.
