2 Hurt in DUI Two-Car Accident in Citrus Heights
CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (August 6, 2020) — A DUI crash on Madison Avenue near Sunrise Boulevard left a pair of drivers hospitalized Tuesday.
According to the Citrus Heights Police, the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. along Madison Avenue.
Authorities closed the area to investigate and determine how the two cars crashed. Thus far, detectives have determined that either alcohol or drugs had played a role in the accident, which sent one vehicle into a pole.
The crash, which involved a classic Volkswagen Beetle,- caused major injuries to one driver and minor injuries to the other; however, reports did not indicate which of the drivers had been impaired at the time.
