John Hamilton Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Laguna Vista Drive [Menifee, CA]

John Hamilton Hit, Killed by Car on Laguna Vista Drive at Rockport Road

 
MENIFEE, CA (August 3, 2020) — A 75-year-old man perished following Wednesday night’s pedestrian accident on Laguna Vista Drive at Rockport Road.
 
According to the Menifee Police Department, John Hamilton tried crossing north on Laguna Vista Drive within a marked crosswalk; however, in his attempt to do so, a westbound motorist struck him at Rockport Drive.
 
An investigation determined that the driver did, in fact, yield at the stop sign but had failed to see Hamilton shortly after stopping.
 
The 59-year-old driver pulled over and contacted 911. Soon after, Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and transported Hamilton to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar where he succumbed to his injuries.
