3-Year-Old Dies After Truck Strikes Vehicle on 30th Avenue and Howell Street [Seattle, WA]
Child Dies in Two-Car Accident on 30th Avenue and Howell Street in Seattle
SEATTLE, WA (July 28, 2020) – A 3-year-old died after a driver struck a parked family man Sunday afternoon on 30th Avenue and Howell Street.
According to police, the child was playing with two other boys inside a family van parked in front of a Madison Valley Home around 4:11 p.m.
Meanwhile, a driver reportedly operating a FedEx truck approached the parked van, and slammed into it for unknown reasons.
The impact caused the child to be thrown from the vehicle, resulting in his severe head injury.
Paramedics responded shortly after and provided life-saving efforts to the three-year-old; however, attempts fell short and the child died moments later.
According to Det. Patrick Michaud, the two other boys suffered minor injuries.
Police did not make any arrests since DUI does not appear to have played a role in the accident.
Our hearts and sincere sympathies are with the bereaved family and friends of the victim.
