Sean Murphy Dies in Motorcycle Collision on East Guadalupe Road and Highway 202

 
MESA, AZ (July 28, 2020) – A 34-year-old motorcyclist died in Sunday’s crash with a vehicle at East Guadalupe Road and Highway 202.
 
According to the Mesa Police Department, Sean Murphy was heading westbound on Guadalupe Road in his motorcycle.
 
Witnesses say that the rider popped a wheelie and sped through the red traffic light at the intersection with Highway 202. That is when a driver exiting off Highway 202 proceeded through the intersection on a green traffic light and collided with the eastbound motorcyclist.
 
As a result of the accident, Murphy sustained fatal injuries.
 
Investigators have determined that impairment did not play a role in the accident; however, the crash remains under investigation.
