Motorcyclist Dies in Isleton Collision on Highway 12
ISLETON, CA (July 27, 2020) – A motorcyclist died in a collision on Highway 12 near Brannan Island Road Friday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred around 1:42 p.m.
Officials confirmed that a 63-year-old man from Isleton died. His westbound motorcycle crashed in the eastbound lane with a tractor-trailer.
Reasons as to why the rider veered from the westbound to the eastbound side of the highway remains unclear; however, investigators believe that the motorcyclist did not apply his brakes before the crash.
In the investigation, detectives found no evidence leading them to believe that DUI played a role in the incident. However, if anyone has additional insight into this case, please call the Sacramento Police Department.
