Three Hospitalized After Street Racing Crash on Niles Street [Bakersfield, CA]
Major Injuries Reported as Car Crashes into Building on Niles Street in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 22, 2020) – The paramedics sent at least three people to the hospital after a street racing crash in the 3300 block of Niles Street on Wednesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Isabell Road around 7:00 PM.
Based on a report, a car was possibly involved in a street race when it crashed into a building. However, officers did not release other details related to the possible racing in the area.
A worker who was doing tile work inside the building sustained major injuries during the crash. Emergency crews took the victim to the hospital. Crews also rushed two people in the car to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Police don’t still know if there are other vehicles who were involved in the racing. As a result, an investigation is ongoing.
