Injuries in Multi-Car Crash in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 24, 2020) – At least one person sustained injuries Thursday following a multi-car accident at Old River Road and Highway 223.
According to reports, the incident happened just before 2:00 p.m. California Highway Patrol said that at least a semi-truck and a pickup truck hauling a trailer collided under unknown circumstances.
Due to the accident, crews had to close the westbound side of the highway at Old River Road as they diverted traffic northbound.
The circumstances and cause of the crash require more investigation by authorities. However, if witnesses have more information, please call the Bakersfield police department.
Driving a car may seem like a commonplace event, but it is one of the most dangerous things you can do. Car accidents typically happen due to reckless and distracted driving. When behind-the-wheel, pay attention to what lies ahead and share the road with others.
