Two People Killed in Crash at Bus Stop on 35th Avenue in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (July 21, 2020) – Police confirmed that 66-year-old Antoinette Dorego and an 80-year-old man died in a bus stop accident on 35th Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the collision happened at Dunlap Avenue.
Based on a report, a car crashed into the bus stop. The car driver reportedly saw a vehicle pulling out of a private road driveway before the incident. In an attempt to avoid colliding with the other vehicle, the driver lost control and crashed into the bus stop.
As a result, the elderly man died at the scene. Emergency crews rushed Dorego to the hospital, where she died due to severe injuries.
The case remains under investigation by the Phoenix Police Department. At this time, officials don’t have additional information yet.
