According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Century Lane around 3:40 PM.
Based on a report, the 31-year-old man from Santa Maria was riding his 2007 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on Los Berros at an unknown speed at the time of the crash. For an unknown reason, he crossed solid double yellow lines into oncoming traffic. As a result, he collided with a woman from Nipomo driving a 2002 Ford F-150 eastbound on Los Berros.
In a press release, officers said the man died from his injuries. Crews did not release his name pending notification of his family.
