Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Foothill Boulevard [Fontana, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Car on Foothill Boulevard near Cherry Avenue in Fontana
FONTANA, CA (July 13, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on Foothill Boulevard on late Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Cherry Avenue at approximately 11:51 PM.
Based on a report, the man just stepped out into the roadway when an eastbound 1998 Honda Accord struck him. However, officials did not state if the collision occurred in a designated crosswalk.
Emergency crews took the victim to the hospital, where he died due to severe injuries. They only identified him as a 39-year-old resident of Fontana.
The driver of the Honda, a 37-year-old Fontana man, stopped at the scene.
At this point, police don’t have additional details related to the crash. However, they continue to investigate the case.
