Driver Killed in Car Accident on Highway 180 and Academy Avenue [Sanger, CA]

Fatal Two-Car Accident in Sanger

 
SANGER, CA (July 20, 2020) — A broadside car accident on Highway 180 at North Academy Avenue turned fatal on Wednesday night.
 
According to California Highway Patrol officers, a northbound Honda Civic driver traveling along North Academy Avenue collided with a Nissan pickup truck at the intersection with Highway 180.
 
Unfortunately, the driver of the Honda died at the scene of the crash.
 
Investigators have not said which of the two cars had failed to stop at the traffic signal. However, tire marks on the road have led investigators to believe that the eastbound Nissan pickup struck the driver’s side of the Honda.
 
As for the Nissan driver, he received treatment at Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno.
 
No other information surrounding the deadly crash was available.
