Fatal Accident on 5 Freeway Near Milham Avenue [Kettleman City, CA]

Woman Dies in Kettleman City Solo-Car Accident

 
KETTLEMAN CITY, CA (July 20, 2020)— One person died in Saturday’s solo-vehicle fiery accident on the 5 Freeway near Milham Avenue.
 
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Bryan Torres, the crash took place around 3:00 a.m., just north of Kettleman City.
 
Arriving officers located a car engulfed in flames at the bottom of the embankment near the freeway’s median.
 
After putting out the fire, Kings County Fire Department officials uncovered a body inside. Officer Maurice Teliha described the victim as a female whose identity has not been confirmed.
 
Authorities are uncertain as to what caused the red 2009 Toyota Yaris to crash on the 5 Freeway. However, if anyone has information related to this accident, please contact the CHP.
