Man Killed in ATV Accident on Fairfax Road [Bakersfield, CA]
Pickup Truck Rear-Ends ATV in Fatal Crash on Fairfax Road in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 13, 2020) – Police confirmed that one man died in an ATV accident on Fairfax Road on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 9:30 PM in the 8000 block of Fairfax Road.
Based on a report from Bakersfield Police, the victim was a passenger in an ATV. He was riding with another man when, due to an unknown reason, a pickup truck hit the ATV from behind.
The impact ejected the two men from the ATV. As a result, the victim died at the scene. An attending coroner did not release his identity pending notification of next of kin. Crews treated the ATV driver for minor to moderate injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt in the incident.
