Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Oxnard Accident at Channel Islands Boulevard

 
OXNARD, CA (July 17, 2020) — A woman died in Thursday’s pedestrian accident at Channel Islands Boulevard and M Street.
 
According to the Oxnard Police Department, the crash befell around 1:52 a.m. Authorities described the fatal victim as a woman, believed to be about 30 years old.
 
According to officers, a 25-year-old man was traveling westbound on Channel Islands Boulevard when his vehicle struck the woman.
 
Shortly thereafter, medical staff provided life-saving efforts, but attempts to save her fell short — the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries.
 
Officers are still uncertain as to what led to the accident since it’s still unclear if impairment played a role.
