Cyclist Killed in Huntington Beach Hit-and-Run Collision on Beach Boulevard and Sunrise Drive
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (July 16, 2020) — A bicyclist died following Tueday’s hit-and-run collision near Beach Boulevard and Sunrise Drive.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, officers responded to reports of a traffic collision around 12:25 a.m. Upon arriving, police found a male bicyclist in the roadway.
Not long after, paramedics took over and pronounced the nameless victim deceased on arrival.
Unfortunately, police did not find a driver or vehicle at the scene. However, it did not take long for authorities to locate the driver. After that, they arrested him or her for fleeing the scene.
An ongoing investigation remains as detectives determine the events that took place.
