Fatal Rollover Accident on Highway 54 in National City

 
NATIONAL CITY, CA (July 16, 2020) — One person died Tuesday night following a rollover accident on Highway 54 near Reo Drive.
 
According to police, the incident happened around 9:20 p.m. and involved a silver Toyota pickup. The Toyota traveled westbound along the highway. After that, it overturned for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, three women and a man suffered a range of injuries after being thrown from the vehicle. However, the man died when an oncoming vehicle struck him; his name and residence have not been released.
 
Authorities have yet to determine the factors that drove this accident and encourage witnesses to come forward with information.
