PHOENIX, AZ (July 14, 2020) — A passenger sustained serious injuries following Monday’s DUI accident on 10 Freeway near North 51st Avenue.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the solo-car crash happened around 7:30 a.m.
 
Investigators believe impairment had played a role in the accident.
 
Following a preliminary investigation, officers took the driver into custody while paramedics shuttled the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment.
