Stanley Porterfield, 75, Killed in Bicycle Accident on Highway 17 [Coulee City, WA]
75 Year-Old Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Motorcycle in Coulee City
COULEE CITY, WA (July 5, 2020) – Police identified 75-year-old Stanley Porterfield as the victim who died in a bicycle accident on Highway 17 on Sunday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Moore Road just after 10:00 AM.
Based on a report, the Coulee City man was riding his bike on the southbound shoulder when he attempted to cross the highway onto Moore. As a result, a motorcycle driven by Andrew Reeves, 55, of Phoenix struck him.
An air ambulance took Porterfield to Central Washington Hospital, where he died due to injuries.
Crews transported Reeves to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake with unspecified injuries.
As of today, police don’t have additional details related to the case. They are still investigating the crash.
