Woman Hospitalized After DUI Crash on 64th Street Northeastern [Marysville, WA]
Four Vehicles Involved in Major DUI Accident near Highway 9 in Marysville
MARYSVILLE, WA (July 7, 2020) – Paramedics sent a woman to the hospital following a suspected DUI crash in the 8700 block of 64th Street Northeastern on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near the intersection with Highway 9 around 1:00 PM.
Based on a report, a Porsche was driving erratically and swerving across the center line when it rear-ended a Toyota Corolla. As a result, the Toyota crashed into two more vehicles in front of it, then spun and hit another car.
Emergency crews found the female Toyota driver slumped over the center console and trapped. As a result, they took her to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where she underwent emergency surgery. In addition, crews also transported the occupants of the other two vehicles to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Police arrested the Porsche driver and found a yellow plastic baggie with a small amount of black tar-like substance in his pocket. A test indicated the substance could be heroin. Police submitted the suspect’s blood sample to the Washington State Toxicology Laboratory for testing. At this time, they don’t have additional information about the case.
