Travis James Dies in Pedestrian Accident on East Indian School Road [Phoenix, AZ]
Travis James Fatally Struck by Driver on East Indian School Road Near North 2nd Street
PHOENIX, AZ (July 10, 2020)—A 38-year-old man died in Thursday’s pedestrian accident on East Indian School Road near North 2nd Street.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, a 2004 Chevrolet Astro van traveling on East Indian School Road struck Travis Lee James around 3:30 a.m.
Police spokesman Sgt. Tommy Thompson adds that James was not in a marked crosswalk at the time the van struck him.
An investigation remains as to whether the 38-year-old man was under the influence at the time of being hit.
The 65-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Astro van stayed at the scene and cooperated with police questioning. Officers have ruled out impairment as a possible factor of the crash.
News reports included no other information surrounding the cause and details of the accident.
