Zachary Jaramillo Detained in DUI Deadly Crash on Paseo Del Norte Boulevard Northeast Near San Pedro Drive Northeast
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (July 9, 2020)— A driver died in a DUI two-car accident last Wednesday on Paseo Del Norte Boulevard Northeast near San Pedro Drive Northeast.
According to detectives, Zachary Jaramillo was under the influence during the crash.
When officers responded to the 2:30 a.m. accident, they found that two cars had collided head-on.
Unfortunately, one of the drivers, who has yet to be identified, died at the scene.
Jaramillo, 24, informed authorities during investigations that he had been traveling down Paseo Del Norte Boulevard Northeast when he crashed into a parked vehicle on the roadway.
He then agreed to a sobriety test, but failed to cooperate, reports noted. As a result of the accident, police charged Jaramillo with vehicular homicide.
No other new information was available.
