Driver, Passenger Die in Strathmore Solo-Car Crash on Avenue 196

 
STRATHMORE, CA (July 6, 2020) — Two people died following a fiery crash on Avenue 196 near Road 236 Saturday morning.
 
According to reports the incident happened around 1:00 a.m. and involved a 2015 Honda. Authorities have not concluded to how the vehicle crashed and catch fire.
 
Investigations proved that the Honda had been traveling westbound on Avenue 196 at an unknown speed. Under unclear circumstances, the vehicle drifted toward the north shoulder of the road and crashed into a concrete bridge abutment.
 
The vehicle subsequently caught on fire, killing the driver and passenger at the scene.
 
Because details run short, the accident remains under investigation. It’s unclear if impairment played a role in the accident.
