2 Injured in DUI Accident on Rowland Boulevard and Vintage Way [Novato, CA]
Drivers Hurt in Two-Car Accident in Novato
NOVATO, CA (July 3, 2020) — Investigators believe DUI played a role in Tuesday’s two-car accident that injured two drivers at Rowland Boulevard and Vintage Way.
Authorities have yet to confirm witnesses’ accounts and whether the driver had been impaired at the time of the accident.
According to police, a driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling errantly along the highway. The Ford subsequently exited Highway 1 and collided with a vehicle and a traffic light pole.
The Ford driver, who authorities believe had been impaired behind the wheel, received treatment at a nearby hospital for his serious injuries. Meanwhile, the other driver suffered only minor injuries.
If anyone can help authorities piece together this crash, call the Novato Police Department’s Traffic Section at 415-897-4361 or email tbarnes@novato.org.
Driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol is a recipe for disaster. If you find that you are intoxicated, call a Rideshare, a taxi or trusted friends to bring you home. You can dodge harm and injuring others on the road by relying on safer methods of transportation.
