Annika Fullerton Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident at Church Street [Highland, CA]
11-Year-Old Annika Fullerton Fatally Struck by Car in Highland
HIGHLAND, CA (July 2, 2020) – Authorities are seeking the hit-and-run driver who fatally struck an 11-year-old girl at Church Street and Glenheather Drive Monday night.
According to news reports, the Highland Police Department responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers learned that a dark-colored SUV heading southbound on Church Street struck the 11-year-old, causing her grave injuries.
The unidentified driver fled the scene, leaving the girl unresponsive in the roadway.
Soon after, paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed her to a nearby hospital where she died.
Per family members, the victim – Annika Fullerton – was on an evening walk with her cousins when the incident befell.
Deputy T. Houn or the Detective Bureau from the Highland Police Department encourages anyone who had witnessed this accident to contact his office.
