Kevin Johnson Involved in Fatal Two-Car Accident in Castroville

 
CASTROVILLE, CA (June 30, 2020) — A two-vehicle accident on Highway 1 near the Highway 156 interchange turned fatal Friday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan driver slowed down for unknown reasons in the northbound lanes of Highway 1.
 
The Volkswagen was subsequently struck by a white 2019 Ford F250, driven by 49-year-old Kevin Johnson.
 
Shortly after, paramedics arrived and transported the Volkswagen driver to Natividad Medical Center, where hospital staff confirmed his death.
 
It’s unclear whether Johnson, of Ellijay, Ga., suffered injuries in the crash.
 
Per reports, investigating CHP officers have ruled out alcohol and drugs as possible factors in the accident; however, they look forward to examining this case further to determine other possibilities that could have led to the impact.
