Passenger Dies in Accident With Tree in Santa Cruz

 
SANTA CRUZ, CA (June 30, 2020) — A car that crashed into a tree Saturday morning at Pacific Avenue and Center Street resulted in a fatality.
 
Tragedy struck around 1:00 a.m. when officers with the Santa Cruz Police Department arrived at the scene.
 
There, officials, along with First Responders, found a gravely injured passenger, whom paramedics subsequently administered life-saving measures to.
 
However, attempts to save his life fell short and the victim died shortly after.
 
As for the driver, he or she suffered critical injuries and was taken to an undisclosed trauma center for further treatment.
