One Killed in Street Racing Accident on San Vicente Boulevard [Los Angeles, CA]
Street Racing Leads to Fatal Crash near Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 19, 2020, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a street racing accident on San Vicente Boulevard on Friday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened in the mid-Wilshire District near Fairfax Avenue.
A security camera caught the incident involving a speeding car that violently crashed into parked vehicles just outside a house in the area. As a result, the impact ejected the car’s driver.
Emergency crews pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. They did not release the victim’s identity to the public pending kin notification.
The victim was believed to be involved in a street racing activity with another vehicle. However, the other driver got away.
The party was later arrested. The LAPD is still conducting an investigation into the case. However, they don’t have additional details at this time.
