Woman Killed in Rollover Accident on Fairview Road [Hollister, CA]
Vehicle Overturned in Fatal Crash near Fallon Road in Hollister
HOLLISTER, CA (June 25, 2020) – Police confirmed that a woman died in a rollover accident on Fairview Road on early Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Fallon Road around 5:05 AM.
A police report showed that the 62-year-old victim was a passenger in a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan that was traveling northbound on Fairview before the accident. Due to an unknown reason, the car’s 62-year-old driver from Los Banos made an unsafe turn to the left and veered off the west side of the road. As a result, the minivan overturned in the incident.
Emergency crews pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The San Benito County Coroner’s Office did not release her identity pending notification of next of kin. In addition, officials took the minivan driver to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas with minor injuries. They also sent a second passenger, a 39-year-old man, to Regional Medical Center in San Jose with moderate injuries.
Neither drugs nor alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. However, the CHP is asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the CHP Officer A. Jimenez at 408-848-2324.
To the family and friends of the victim, we would like to express our deepest condolences to you during this time of heartache.
