Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Sparks
SPARKS, NV (June 23, 2020) – Police confirmed that a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run on McCarran Boulevard on early Tuesday morning.
According to the Reno Police Department, the collision happened near 4th Street at approximately 12:30 AM.
Reports showed that authorities arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian unresponsive on the roadway. In addition, the vehicle that struck the victim fled the scene. Police described it as a dark-colored, midsize SUV with damage to its right side.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. They did not release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
The investigation is ongoing. However, anyone who has witnessed the accident is asked to call the Reno Police Department’s non-emergency line at 775-334-2188 or secret witness at 775-322-4900.
