Armani Brown Killed in Police Pursuit Collision at West 60th Street [Los Angeles, CA]
Armani Brown Dies in Los Angeles Police Chase Accident
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 26, 2020) — An 18-year-old woman died following Sunday’s police chase accident at West 60th Street and Normandie Avenue.
According to authorities, the crash stemmed from a carjacking incident that happened around 11:10 p.m.
The Los Angeles Police Department said around that time, the suspect stole the car at gunpoint at Congress Avenue and 25th Street. The car then took off, leading patrol officers chasing after it nearly 20 minutes later.
News stations broadcasted the chase, showing the vehicle traveling southbound on Normandie Avenue before it collided with a vehicle attempting a left turn at 60th Street.
As a result of the impact, each vehicle ended up striking a parked car, police confirmed.
In the wake of the crash, the female passenger of the carjacked automobile died as a result of her injuries. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has identified her as Armani Brown. However, it’s unclear if she had been the vehicle owner of the stolen model.
Meanwhile, the male driver of the stolen car was brought to a hospital in critical condition, while the two men in the car that had been hit by the carjacked vehicle required hospitalization.
No other information about this incident is available.
We would like to extend our condolences and thoughts of support and courage to the family and friends of Armani Brown.
