Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 [Fowler, CA]

Fatal Semi-Truck and Pedestrian Crash on Highway 99 and Manning Avenue in Fowler

 
FOWLER, CA (June 22, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 99 southbound on late Monday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Manning Avenue at approximately 11:00 PM.
 
A report showed that a semi-truck hit the 49-year-old man. However, it did not state the details that led to the incident.
 
The man died at the scene. Emergency crews did not release his name pending kin notification. The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt in the crash.
 
Crews closed the traffic on the southbound lanes of the highway. However, northbound traffic was not affected.
