Kevin Guardado Arrested in Fatal DUI Pedestrian Accident on Bristol Street [Santa Ana, CA]
Kevin Guardado Charged With DUI Following Deadly Pedestrian Accident at South Bristol Street and West McFadden Avenue
SANTA ANA, CA (June 25, 2020)—A man died during Tuesday’s DUI pedestrian accident at South Bristol Street and West McFadden Avenue.
Officers have arrested 26-year-old Kevin Guardado, who they suspect had been under the influence during the crash.
Around 1:40 p.m., a white BMW, heading southbound on South Bristol Street, drove through the intersection on a green traffic light before it struck the male pedestrian.
Investigating officers learned that the pedestrian was drifting around from side to side for unknown reasons; however, they have not confirmed if he had been in a marked crosswalk at the time of the impact.
Following the accident, Guardado — the driver of the white four-door BMW — undertook a field sobriety test, which proved his intoxicated state; however, officers are continuing their investigation by interviewing witnesses regarding Tuesday’s crash.
