2 Pedestrians Hit, Injured by Driver on Tomahawk Road Near Rancherias Road [Apple Valley, CA]
2 Women Hospitalized in Apple Valley Pedestrian Accident
APPLE VALLEY, CA (June 23, 2020) — Two pedestrians were hospitalized Sunday after being hit by a vehicle on Tomahawk Road near Rancherias Road.
According to reports, the incident befell around 7:38 p.m. near the Apple Valley Golf Course.
Firefighters arrived in the 19900 block of Tomahawk Road to find a 69-year-old woman and a 72-year-old woman with serious injuries. Paramedics transported the pair to out of area trauma centers for immediate treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the 2019 Jeep SUV, described as a 78-year-old, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Based on a preliminary examination of the crash, the Jeep driver struck the pedestrians as they began walking near the golf course to the north side of the intersection.
However, since details remain limited, the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) encourages witnesses to call them at 760-240-7400 if they have additional information.
