Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 395 [Victorville, CA]
Motorcycle Collides with Pickup-Truck in Fatal Victorville Accident
VICTORVILLE, CA (June 19, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 395 on early Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened between Bear Valley Road and La Mesa Road at approximately 5:30 PM.
The victim’s motorcycle collided with a white-colored truck with an attached trailer hauling party equipment. Reports showed that the truck was traveling northbound on the highway when it made a legal U-turn to head southbound. For an unknown reason, the victim in the white Honda Interceptor motorcycle struck the side of the pickup truck.
As a result, the rider died at the scene. Authorities did not release his name pending kin notification. The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries and remained at the scene.
Sheriff’s officials said drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this collision. However, the Victorville Police Department continues to investigate the case.
