3 Killed in Multi-Car Crash on 10 Freeway [Ontario, CA]
Man, Woman, And Child Killed in Deadly Ontario Accident
ONTARIO, CA (June 16, 2020) – Police confirmed that at least three people got killed in a multi-car crash on 10 Freeway on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened west of Haven Avenue at about 9:30 AM.
Reports showed a 2011 Volvo tractor pulling a semi-trailer traveling in the No. 3 lane of the freeway prior to the crash. At the same time, a 2002 Chrysler Voyager van and a 2015 Volvo tractor in front of it were stopped for traffic. For an unknown reason, the tractor rear-ended the Voyager. As a result, the Voyager crashed into the rear trailer of the 2015 Volvo.
Ontario Fire personnel proclaimed all three occupants of the Voyager dead at the scene. The victims were only identified as a woman about 25 years old, a man about 25 years old, and a child about 7 years old. Crews transported the driver of the 2011 Volvo tractor to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The CHP is investigating the collision. However, they do not have additional details at this time.
