Robert Gandara Arrested After DUI Accident on Chaparral Road [Scottsdale, AZ]
Suspected DUI Driver Rear-Ends Golf Cart near Miller Road
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (June 14, 2020) – Police arrested Robert Gandara after a suspected DUI crash on Chaparral Road on early Sunday morning.
According to Scottdale Police officers, the collision happened near Miller Road at approximately 2:00 AM.
A report showed 22-year-old Gandara heading northbound on Miller when he struck a golf cart from behind. As a result, the driver and four women passengers were ejected from the cart.
Paramedics said all victims suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested Robert Gandara on charges including aggravated assault. Impairment was believed to be a factor. However, police continue to investigate the crash.
