One Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Whitney Pedestrian Accident on Boulder Highway
WHITNEY, NV (June 16, 2020)—Tragedy unfolded early Friday when a driver struck and killed a pedestrian at Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue.
According to Lt. Frank Humel with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the event happened around 12:20 a.m. when a 2004 Infiniti G35, heading south, struck the 36-year-old female pedestrian.
Further investigations proved that the woman had been in a marked pedestrian crosswalk at the time.
Per reports, the driver pulled over and contacted 911; however, it had been too late — paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene not long after.
As for the 19-year-old male driver, authorities saw no signs of impairment on his part but will continue to explore the possibilities that could explain who had been at fault.
