Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 118 [Simi Valley, CA]
Box Truck Overturned in Crash near Tapo Canyon Road
SIMI VALLEY, CA (June 12, 2020) – Police confirmed that two people suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 118 on Friday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Tapo Canyon Road at approximately 12:12 PM.
Reports showed that a box truck overturned after colliding two other vehicles.
Crews with the Ventura County Fire Department said that one person was possibly thrown from one of the vehicles. The victim suffered major injuries and another person suffered minor injuries.
Officials closed the left three lanes of the highway to give way to rescue and clearing operations.
The crash remained under investigation by the CHP. However, they do not release further details at this time.
