Phucdai Nguyen Dies in Santa Ana Motorcycle Collision
SANTA ANA, CA (June 16, 2020)—A 27-year-old man perished in Saturday’s motorcycle accident on North Euclid Street near Hazard Avenue.
According to Supervising Deputy Orange County Coroner Erica Arellano, Phucdai Nguyen was the victim who died in the 8:50 p.m. accident.
Santa Ana Police responded to the 1200 block of North Euclid Street. There, authorities located the victim, now confirmed as Nguyen, in the road with visible head trauma.
Although Orange County Fire Authority paramedics tried rendering life-saving measures, the Westminster man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
According to a preliminary investigation, Nguyen, heading southbound, collided with a truck that had purportedly been crossing the southbound lanes of Euclid Street from a driveway.
Following the accident, the truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police questioning.
