Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Pico Rivera
PICO RIVERA, CA (June 16, 2020) — A hit-and-run vehicle fatally struck a victim in a pedestrian accident on Washington Boulevard Sunday night.
At approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies arrived at the 8500 block of Washington Boulevard near Paramount Boulevard. After that, officials found a gravely injured man in the roadway.
According to Sheriff’s Lt. Michael Verlich of the Pico Rivera Station, the victim, described as a male in his 30s or 40s, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. However, information surrounding his name or residence was not available at the time.
As for the driver, he or she fled the scene. As a result, investigators work to determine the make and model of the vehicle. In addition, officials have not located the involved party.
