Benjamin Montalvo Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle on Rimpau Avenue Near Olympic Drive [Corona, CA]
CORONA, CA (June 15, 2020)—A hit-and-run driver fatally struck a 21-year-old bicyclist on Rimpau Avenue near Olympic Drive Thursday night.
According to the Corona Police Department, the driver hit and killed Benjamin Montalvo around 11:50 p.m.
Investigators determined that in the 1600 block of Rimpau Avenue, a dark-colored sedan, heading southbound, struck Montalvo as he pedaled south with his friends.
Unfortunately, the driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Paramedics responded moments later and pronounced Montalvo deceased at the scene.
At this time, no new information has been presented. However, if any witnesses would like to come forward with information, please contact the police department.
