Patricia Verducci Severely Injured, Nicholas Stanley Uninjured in Fatal West Main Avenue Accident Near South Carpenter Road
MODESTO, CA (June 15, 2020) — A driver perished Wednesday evening following a multi-vehicle crash on West Main Avenue near South Carpenter Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the three-vehicle collision not only claimed a life but left one person in severe condition.
The incident first unfolded around 6:30 p.m., when the male driver allowed his westbound-traveling 2014 Buick to cross into the eastbound lanes. It subsequently struck an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet, driven by 33-year-old Nicholas Stanley of Turlock. From there, the Buick slammed into a 2014 GMC, driven by 56-year-old Patricia Verducci, which had been trailing behind the Chevrolet.
Due to the impact, the Buick ruptured into flames in the south shoulder of West Main Street, killing its driver.
Per reports, Verducci sustained major injuries and received treatment at Memorial Medical Center as Stanley avoided harm.
