Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Avenue S [Palmdale, CA]
DUI Driver Involved in Deadly Motorcycle Crash near 35th Street East
PALMDALE, CA (June 9, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man got killed in a motorcycle accident on Avenue S late Tuesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near 35th Street East at approximately 11:20 PM.
A report from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station showed that the victim was driving his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle westbound on Avenue S on a green traffic signal when a Chevrolet Malibu ran a red light. As a result, the rider collided with the vehicle.
As a result, Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. They did not release his name pending next of kin notification.
The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu displayed signs and symptoms of being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. In addition, police arrested him for driving under the influence resulting in bodily injury.
