One Critical After Multi-Car Accident on Highway 101 [Goleta, CA]
Seven Vehicles Involved in Goleta Accident
GOLETA, CA (June 5, 2020) – Emergency crews confirmed that one person became critical after a multi-car accident on Highway 101 on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the Turnpike Road offramp around 5:20 PM.
Santa Barbara County Fire officials found at least seven vehicles at the scene. Reports showed that a Ford Mustang GT traveling southbound on the highway turned across all lanes of traffic to exit the freeway on the offramp. As a result, it collided with six vehicles.
As a result, crews transported two people to the hospital. They confirmed that one victim was listed in critical condition and the other sustained moderate injuries.
The crash remained under investigation by the CHP. However, they do not release further details at this time.
