Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Car in Clearlake

 
CLEARLAKE, CA (June 2, 2020) — Tragedy unfolded as a man died Sunday night following a bicycle-vehicle crash at Highway 53 and Dam Road.
 
According to Clearlake Police Chief Andrew White, the deadly event occurred around 10:40 p.m. at the intersection. White noted that an unidentified adult male sustained fatal injuries after a vehicle had struck him.
 
The accident drew police officers and investigators to the scene to determine what had happened.
 
As a result of the crash, the Clearlake Police Department issued late-night Nixle alert, urging commuters to use Highway 53 from Dam Road to Anderson Ranch Parkway.
