Car Crashes into Semi-Truck in Major Crash near Price Canyon Road

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (May 30, 2020) – Emergency crews confirmed that a man became critical after a car crash on Highway 227 on Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Price Canyon Road at approximately 11:00 AM.
 
A report showed that the 27-year-old man from San Luis Obispo was driving a Toyota Scion on Highway 227 southbound at a high rate of speed prior to the incident. At the same time, a semi-truck was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Price Canyon Road. When the light turned green, the Scion then crashed into the truck. As a result, it got stuck underneath the truck.
 
First responders extricated the man from the car. They said that the victim suffered severe injuries in the incident.
 
In addition, the Toyota Scion sustained complete damage in the crash.
 
CHP officers say they do not suspect alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident. However, they continue to investigate the crash.
